Car-camped at the trailhead; sun was behind buttes for majority of ascent. Little white paint marks helped guide the trail. A few sections of scrambling were quite fun. Views during the hike were spectacular; peak views obstructed by bushes, alas. Would want to do this as a sunset hike someday!
