Hiked Bear Mountain in CT yesterday, 05/01/21, with my friend @Cathkelson and her dad. Perfect weather, except for the wind that got stronger as we climbed up. But then what is the fun in hiking without any challenges ????
The trails were in great shape. It was nice that there were no leaves on the trees yet and that let us see further. The sun was nice even thought the temp was high 30s when we started at 10 am.
No snow on the trail, blooming flowers and bushes, clear streams, small waterfalls, birds, just beautiful.
I walked my first mile on the Appalachian Trail – 2189 more to go.
