Beautiful day to hike the tallest peak in Connecticut! We went counterclockwise after reading the Bear Mountain trail comments on AllTrails to go UP the rock scramble to the summit. The way down on the other side had gorgeous views that would have been a shame to miss had we chosen the other direction. The trail is are well marked and in great condition, and we passed some serene brooks in several places. The hike is challenging but very fun!
