Bear Mtn

The hike was absolutely beautiful and absolutely too hot. We started a little before 7 am – I recommend starting at least an hour sooner. The views are amazing the entire way up and down. There are loose rocks on the trial so be mindful of your footing while taking in the surroundings. The red rocks heat up fast so I do not recommend taking your dog if you complete this hike before September.
You’ll see the iconic Sedona rock formations and the entire valley. It is a beautiful and completely different viewpoint and experience of Sedona.
I recommend putting this one on the back end of the challenge as the excessive heat warning and exposed trail with heat reflecting off the rocks is too hot currently (July).
