Beautiful Umunhum

It was a beautiful day for this hike. We got to see picturesque forest, clouds completely covering the valley and beautiful view of the surrounding bay area. It’s quite simple hike taking the Mt.Umunhum trail. There are couple other trails as well that take you to the top.

This hike does have a reward at the top with beautiful view of the valley. Bugs were very annoying at the top but otherwise it’s not too bad. There are restrooms at all the parking lots including the one at the top and they are quite clean. Lot of shade on the trail and some patches of open. It’s not very steep and the elevation is quite gradual.

We did come across a snake (it wasn’t a rattle) so be careful on the trail.
