Beautiful views along the climb to the summit of Black Mountain!

This was a 12 mile, out and back trail, definitely challenging but had enough areas to feel ease in enjoying the views!  Beautiful butterflies flying around made it a bit magical!  There were some areas with mosquitos but not too bad.  Once you arrive at the summit there were several rocks and views of the cloud forming, a little windy but the breeze allowed a nice cool down before starting the climb back down.  We parked in the equestrian parking lot and the trailhead was easily accessible.  We did see bunnies, deer, and two coyotes at a safe distance but the butterflies were the highlight!
