Beautiful warm, clear day with a perfect cool breeze. We only saw a couple of groups on the trail and had several fun encounters with the park ranger. The Five Oaks detour was a little overgrown but always a gorgeous route with appreciated shade.

There were some annoying bugs near the start (end) but the rest of the trail was clear.
