Belknap Crater – One of My Favorites!

Today’s weather made for the most pleasant fall day! The tempetature was perfect. I arrived to the trailhead around 7:30 am and was able to summit Belknap Crater and get all the way to the bottom of it again before seeing anyone else. From that point on, there were more people on the trail than I had ever seen there before. There were big smiles from everyone and even a few fun conversations. Right before arriving back to the parking lot, I found a few bushes containing the very last of the season’s alpine huckleberries – a delicious way to end the hike!
