Bill Williams Mountain Trail Closed – at least that’s what the sign says!

We were really looking forward to this hike, never having done it before. There weren’t any signs about closures at the trailhead, but about 1 mile up the trail we hit a Trail Closed sign! So we turned around and made a detour to Clover Spring, then headed back down the mountain. The Forest Service website doesn’t say the trail is closed, but you sure can’t miss the sign! Fortunately the day wasn’t totally lost – we drove up to the Canyon and did a 6 mile walk along the Rim Trail.
