Birthday Hike – Wasson Peak

I logged about 9.5 miles out and back on this trail. It was a pretty simple trail with gradual inclines. No scramble involved. It started out going thru some beautiful wash areas with no water. I imagine that’s the sweet water area. It was a bit hot and windy, we got a little sun burnt. There were a good amount of people on the trail, people were friendly. Once you get to the top it’s beautiful! You can see the vast landscape of Tohono O’odham territory. It was a treat for sure. Coming down I almost fell on some loose rock further down. Watch your footing. It was a great way to end my birthday weekend. Enjoy!
