Black Butte

It was a beautiful morning for this hike- sunny but not too hot. There was lots of shade for at least 2/3 of the hike and gorgeous views of the mountain range and craters.

This trail was steeper than I remembered it being, especially towards the top. A couple other things that took me by surprise was how rough and slow that dirt road was driving up to the trailhead and how many people we saw on the trail. It was definitely busier than I pictured it to be.
