We got to the trailhead by 8:00 AM.  We were in the shade almost all the way up.  Cool Breezes on the return in the exposed areas.  Clear day. Mount Hood visible from the top.  Nice even grade.  Most of the way , the forest road to trail-head is decent though washboarded. It gets rougher the last mile.
