We parked at the snow gate where the HWY was closed and backpacked into the TH in shorts and Tshirt with snowshoes attached to our packs. The cyclist got a chuckle.
camped overnight at the TH. Started about 0800 about a mile in we put in our snow shoes and navigated through the snow to the peak. We went off trail to find the easiest route up and glissade down for the safest and fastest down.
beautiful time to summit this peak. I’d recommend going in the snow.
