Black Crater late afternoon / evening hike.

The views from the top are worth every step of the trek! I have never hiked in snow before so that was a new experience.  My partner is very experienced and was amazingly patient with me during the last part of the hike that was in snow.  Thank goodness he downloaded the trail on All Trails before we started because that helped us stay on track.  Unbelievable views and an amazing summit!  I highly recommend doing this hike in the afternoon/evening.  The light was spectacular.
