The drought has sucked the life out of Northern California. While I’m happy to be able to move up this mountain I’ve never seen conditions so dry. It’s very frightening.

The Rhys ridge trail is pretty steep and about 10 miles round trip. There were gnats along parts of the trail, big ants and meat bees are the top but none were a significant problem.

one more peak and the six pack is done!!
