Black Mountain vis Rhus Ridge

Limited parking at Rhus Ridge. We started at 7:15AM on a Monday and there were still 3 spots available. Steep first 0.9 mile and then a winding and shady 2-3 miles with a nice incline. Last mile was exposed and steep.  No bathrooms and bring lots of water. This hike was “challenging” but easy to access and a great summer option. Just start early! We saw no snakes which was a surprise given the healthy rattle snake population in the area.
