Blue Ridge Dreamin’

We caught the sunrise on Black Balsam Knob and it was worth the earlier start. We had headlamps on to start and even spotted a nocturnal salamander still out hunting bugs. After 30 minutes of hiking the sky lightened and we no longer needed the flashlights. Once at the top, the sun broke through the clouds and it was a spectacular view. Not the most rigorous hike but it was a fun adventure nonetheless.
