Bootie Burnin’ Black Butte

My two friends and I summited the butte with the intentions to camp overnight, regardless of this being a 2 mile, day hike up! We have 20lb packs on our backs, so we definitely had a good workout!

The trail is dusty and has wild flowers blooming everywhere! The smell was delicious. We had a great evening hike up to watch the sunset!

The top was blustery winds and intermittent clouds covering the peak. We were the only people on top for sunset at 8:30pm. A wonderful adventure to never forget.
