Bowling for Baldy

Started early, around 7:30 or 8am, and the weather was perfect all day. 70s with a breeze, but not windy. Passed many groups on the way up—Saturdays are busy! But Baldy Bowl clearly isn’t as popular a route as the alternatives, with the added benefit of packing more elevation into fewer miles. Yes, please. Summit was crowded, and I saw a couple get engaged right before my eyes. Magic. I ate a cookie to toast the pair, snapped a selfie with the big bronze thing that I wish wasn’t there, and headed back the way I came.
