Beautiful hike! I always love this one. You see gorgeous sweeping views down into the Redding area, as well as of Lassen Peak, Lake Almanor, and on a clear day Mount Shasta.
The trail has lots of shade at the start in the pines, there are a few streams to cross. We saw a few deer and some chipmunks.
The summit is a perfect spot to stop for a snack and ask in the views.
