Burned

Really sad to see the damage of the 2020 El Dorado fire. Among the burned forest new life is more evident now with beautiful white flowers all over the mountain. We were at the trail at 3 am determined to finish before the heat. To our surprise we were not the first ones to arrive, other cars were there already. This is a moderate backcountry hike, steady up but very long. Sad to see what used to be one of the most beautiful trails in SoCal so very destroyed by fire.
