Camelback Mountain – Intense!

The 2.71 mile distance of this hike is deceptive. It’s a 1,424 ft elevation, so you are pretty much climbing the whole time. Harder than Black Mountain and Cowles. Maybe comparable to Kwaay Paay? In any case, the payoff is a beautiful 360 degree view of the city of Phoenix. The trail gets pretty busy, but there’s usually plenty of room for everyone. It’s very windy at the top!
