Camelback via Echo Canyon

My goal for the 2020 Six-Pack is to do each peak via a “new to me” route. There are really only two routes up Camelback, so Echo Canyon it was! I actually did this trail once before, but it was way back in 2012. When I rolled up around 9am, the lot was full even though it was recently expanded. After circling a few times, I decided to park a couple miles away and take a Lyft over. The trail is “interesting” for the first half with its fencing and handrails, then feels more wild and secluded as you move up through the boulder-filled second half of the canyon. I can’t decide which route I like more, so next year I’m going to do a traverse so I can see both sides in one hike!
