My third hike on Camels Hump  I love to scale rock faces. I wasn’t content with Monroe Trail.  So I tried the trail head on the opposite side.  Started on Forest City

Trail to Long Trail to summit.  Returned on Burrow Trail.  Long Trail is awesome!  This was my introduction to Long Trail, which I understand runs the length of

Vermont.  Definitely will hike more of this trail.  The trails were wet at times, but this seems to be the norm.  No worries.  Just before the summit, amazing view of

Burlington, Lake Champlain, the south Burlington airport, and all the mountains surrounding.  wonderful fellow hikers on the trails.  There was a young lady at the

summit, described herself as the “caretaker” of Camels Hump.  Great resource of info.
