Checked my Second Peak off the List!

This month has been so hot, I spent the whole month waiting for the cool weather to show up so I could take on another peak. I finally decided to go for it with Black Mountain this past Monday. I went early so it wasn’t too hot and the trail is pretty shady, which was really nice. The hike is not too bad – the first and last mile are steep, but the middle is less steep. My hiking poles did come in handy on the way down though as I almost slipped on the gravel in a steep section!
