Checked off #1, Turtlehead!

Before I hit the trail I read multiple reviews saying that it’s easy to lose the trail. There are a lot of markers (spray paint dots of white and green) but a few times I still strayed off course. I used AllTrails to track my location and it corrected me multiple times. I’m very glad I used it.

the good news is, even if you lose the trail you’ll likely catch back up to it and get back on course.

This is definitely not recommended on a warm day. We went out on a day with a high around 80 and it would be rough if it had been any warmer.

this was a lot of fun with a great view at the top and the scrambling in the middle added to the adventure. Great day!
