Checked off number 1!

Started early to avoid the heat but it was already warm at 7:30am! Parking lot was filling up quickly at that time. My boyfriend hiked with me and we reached the summit around 9am. Beautiful views on the way up with a layer of fog over the landscape to the west, we were well above the fogline. Trail was not too crowded. Though it was warm there was a nice breeze at the top. On our descent a few mountain bikers were headed up. I really enjoyed this hike. Glad we started early as it was really getting warm on our way back, plenty of shady areas though along the trail. A great way to start the day and my challenge!
