Christmas Clouds on Pistewa

Loved this cloudy, foggy morning hike in PHX where we rarely get anything other than blazing sun. The morning was cool and crisp with clouds hovering up at the top of Pistewa Peak. My son and I started hiking around 8 AM and managed to have a hike where we summited the mountain as the early birds were coming down and descended as the families and other later morning hikers were getting started. It was fun to see the “Christmas tree” at the top of the peak as well as some friendly folks serving biscuits and gravy to those who made it up to the top! Definitely the best hike I’ve had at Pistewa and is a wonderful memory made with me and my son.
