Comarades
Also on this hike
Rolling hills upon rolling hills! Mount Rose seems to be eluding us. But with shear determination and grit we conquered this Beast together with some die hard Comrades and a very energetic Dalmatian! We started in the early morning fog and cleared into some gentle winds throughout the day. I recommend wearing covers and a long sleeve to protect you from the sun. There were very little shade on the trail. Rose is definitely a mental test. When I felt the miles, I just looked up and take in the beautiful view, listened to the wind blowing by, and took a deep inhale of the remanent smell of the dry flowers like lavenders helped me get right back. This peak was number five for me and from the very beginning I promised myself that I would give it my all and leave no regrets behind. Every mile I stepped on the gas petal and I am so glad it it. I finished strong and ready for Sizer!
