Conquered Camelback (Finally)

After 6 years in the Valley, I’ve finally hiked Camelback. It’s fitting to finish the six pack with this peak as it had a bit of all the other peaks in the mix. It had the railings like Picacho, a bit of scrambling like Flatiron, great views like Fremont Saddle and Sunrise, and switchbacks like Wasson. It was a gift to have a unseasonably cool day in April to finish out this adventure with my son and we’ve loved every minute. There are definitely stretches of Camelback that press your energy but if you take your time and choose your steps well, it’s a great hike for a fair range of hikers. Great memories for sure.
