Conquered Kendrick

The trail conditions were pretty ideal for early May. Expected it to still have snow, but there were only a few patches of snow off the trail near the top. Gorgeous day. Cool start. Took us 5 hours of moving time with a nice break at the top for hydration and snacks. I was moving slower than normal because I was carrying a heavy pack as training for Rainier.

There were a lot of bugs flying around the fire tower at the peak. But not anywhere else.

The views of Humphreys Peak from the summit are spectacular. This is definitely one of my favorite 10k+ mountains!
