Conquering Mount Diablo on Easter via Summit Trail

I had a late start due to Easter morning activities so I decided to attack Mount Diablo on the Summit Trail starting at Curry Point. It was a nice sunny day. Although the park was busy earlier on, it started to thin out when I started as people headed to their Easter dinner plans. I have hiked Mount Diablo via multiple routes before but this was the first time doing it from this point on the Summit Trail. It was more a gradual climb on fire roads and not the difficulty of the 6 peaks loop . The highlight of the hike was seeing a lone large coyote on the road up and a deer on the way down. Pretty relaxing hike and beautiful clear view from the summit. I will come back to do the 6 Peaks Loop or Mitchell Creek to Diablo Summit when I have more time.
