Conquering San Bernardino Peak

Wow it was hot! Please be sure to bring lots of water and a filter to top up on your way down! The stream at the switchbacks past Limber Pines camp is flowing and deliciously cool. The fire damage has left the trees merely skeletons of their former glory and has left the trail mainly exposed to the sun. There is ash on the trail in a few spots – don’t think you’re going to come out of this one clean. All of the heat & ash was worth it for the view we got at the top
