Conquering the Climb

This was the first time to Approach Black Mountain from the East (off 280). Beautiful clear day after rain storms.  We were surrounded by green hills  and meadows.  The majority of the trail was a gradual climb under shaded trees.  We hit a few icy spots.  The first half mile and last mile was a steep climb to overcome.  This is now on one of my favorite hikes list.
