Corte Madera and Los Pinos
Absolutely perfect day for a hike, sunny with occasional breeze. Not many hikers on Corte Madera and zero on Los Pinos. Probably because i started 10am. Few steep sections and a narrow trail in most sections but easy to follow. I enjoy the variety of scenery, shrubbery, pine trees, granite boulders and views of Lagunas and Cuyamaca mountains. Los Pinos has a fire lookout tower, one of not many that is still functional. The gate towards the top was closed but there was a sign allowing hikers to continue. This is a remote hike so go prepared. Parking lot is very small accomodating just few cars. If full go a little further and you will be able to find parking around the corner.
