Corte Madera…Not an ordinary day hiking a peak!!!

OK, here’s the story on my hike to Corte Madera Peak! A couple friends and I hiked Cuyamaca yesterday, spent the night in Alpine so we could get on the CM trail early in the morning. All was looking great. We arrived at the trailhead We were the only ones there! We got a mile into the trail when we unknowingly walked through a wasp nest! We were stung MULTIPLE times! Deciding we did not want to go back that way we had no choice, but to make our way up the Los Pinos Rd to the fire tower. We met a Forest Ranger named Reggie, who let us go up into the tower and gave us a ton of information took cool pics and headed down. We actually clocked in more miles and higher elevation than we would’ve done. Thankfully, Jeff gave me credit for hiking CM because I now have PTSD and will not go back there this year! Lol So, if you go there be very cautious!
