I was worried about the chilly temps but it ended up being perfect conditions for a challenging but enjoyable hike.  A magical blend of wildflowers, beautiful sunset, wonderful company and an amazing Super moon that lit our way for the last mile and a half.

    Great shot of the moon! Did they give you any trouble for finishing after sunset? I know that technically the trail is only open sunrise to sunset.

    Hi Jeff, when we arrived the ranger said the park was open until 10pm. When we returned to the parking lot we saw the sign that said the trail closed at sunset. We didnt encounter anyone, so Im not sure if we were breaking a rule or not. We certainly would have honored the rule, had the ranger not said the park was open until 10pm.
