Hiking pole is a must. Weather is perfect. A bit hot going up.  Extreme fire hazard. Bring enough water. The trail is not easy to navigate bc of the rocks and switchbacks.  I got lost 3 times but managed to get back on trail.  I was a bit scared. I would recommend to download a map or buy Garmin GPS.  Took me 9 hours to finish, would recommend starting before 7am.
