Hiked with a group

We started our Cucamonga Peak hike at 5:20 AM. Although it was early, there were already a few cars in the parking lot. Our group of three reached the peak around 9:00 AM. After a break at the summit, we began descending at 10:00 AM and reached the base by 1:40 PM. We took several short breaks and enjoyed some time at a water creek. We soaked our legs in the cold water. It was incredibly refreshing. Each of us carried about 4 liters of water, but we finished less than 3 liters. It’s highly recommended to start early, as the afternoon heat can be intense. Also, be sure to print out your Adventure Pass and place it on your dashboard. We received $5 parking ticket for not having it on car dash board. The free hiking permit can be kept in the phone.
