Cuyamaca

Most of the hike to the peak was shady with a nice breeze. It was absolutely beautiful, the greenery, the natural smells, the sounds of birds chirping, just beautiful. Up until we reached the paved road to get to the peak the bugs became an annoyance. It was hard to enjoy the rest of the hike. It was sad to see so many cut down and burnt tree trunks. I did not enjoy having to hike down the rest of the trail on paved road. That part didn’t feel like true hiking.
