Cuyamaca Ankle Twister

This hike was much rockier than I expected. I’m happy I was wearing hiking boots, for the first time ever! I don’t normally hike in boots, but I wanted to give them try. There was one downed tree blocking the trail, but we were able to navigate around it relatively easily. We started at 6am, right when the parking lot opened. It was very chilly and windy at the top. There are great views from the top, but there was a lot of smoke in the air when we did the hike because of the LA fires.
