Cuyamaca First

Started very early and we were the first in the parking lot. I met new hikers that hopefully will be an addition to our hiking crew and their first ti.e to do this hike. Took the Azalea Glen trail from the campground, basically followed Alltrails to the peak.

Very, very chilly morning but not below freezing yet. That made us walk a little faster to keep warm.

There were a couple down trees but not blocking the trail. We didn’t encounter any hikers on our way up but a few along the fire road on our way back.

Overall, it was a perfect day for this hike in SD area, especially.
