1/1/2024. Dual peak hike: Cuyamaca & Volcan.
Cuyamaca: took Azalea Glen to Azalea Spring to Conejos to summit then Fire Road going back to Paso PC.
Always amused to see hoar frost on the flowers & plants, even on the bridges. It stayed a bit chilly especially in shaded areas otherwise the peeking sun made it a pleasant hike. By the time we hit the summit, the sun was almost out. Layering certainly kept me as comfortable as it can be.
