Hiked Cuyamaca Peak today, my 3rd of six hikes in the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge. Starting at the Paso Picacho campground I took the Azalea Loop to the Conejos trail, up to the fire road, then to the peak. I came back down from the peak on the fire road all the way down (7.7 miles, 2:31 time). Great views on this trail all along the way. First mile is relatively flat, then mile two starts a gradual incline for about a mile or so. When you hit the fire road at about the four-mile mark you begin a steep incline for close to a mile to the peak, but the views at the top make it worth it.
