I am halfway through the Six Pack of Peaks San Diego challenge, and I have to say, this has been my favorite hike thus far. I have lived in San Diego since 1998 and have always heard about how beautiful Cuyamaca Peak is. Now I can understand why it is so popular! The pine trees and forested areas are breathtaking. The weather was a bit hot, but not too bad, considering it is July. Bring plenty of water. The trails are very clearly marked-much appreciated! This is definitely a hike I would love to do again.
