Cuyamaca Peak via Lookout Road

Great day hike.  Cuyamaca Rancho State Park only allows dogs on the Lookout Road so we used this way up.  I’m not a fan of fire roads, but this was nicely paved and clean.  Light patches of melting snow were on the sides of the road, but not covering the road or paths.  Yesterday, I went to top of Volcan Mountain and the wind was crazy so today’s weather was perfect.  Temp in the upper 50 to low 60s and hardly any wind.  This is a very steep trail and I brought poles just in case I needed them based on comments from Alltrails comments, but never needed them.  The views from this summit were amazing.  Blew Volcan Mountain views away, but competes with Corte Madera for beautiful summit views.
