Cuyamaca snowy summit

Peaceful, snowy trek throughout on the ascend, glad we packed micro spikes! A few miles before hitting the “glutes on fire road” there’s a stretch of rocky terrain with an active stream. The clouds cleared just in time for the summit, and we found the Cuyamaca sign!  Took the “my knees hurt fire road” back to the campgrounds and hustled out for an In n Out double-double and animal style fries. Wonderful hike!
