This was the first big hike I’ve invited my husband to. He didn’t know where we were going or what the length was. He was a good sport and we had a great time.
We didn’t start as early as I would have liked and the weather was warm. We beat the hot hot part of the day and were off the trail by 3.
We could see the wall of smoke rolling in and fortunately got done before it hit us.
