Desert Friends on Quartz Peak

Quartz Peak is always a treat! And for the first time in my 30+ years of hiking in the Sonoran Desert, I encountered a desert tortoise on the trail! So special to see and was able to see it on the way up as well as the way down, it had moved quite a distance during that time. I also spotted many lizards and small flying friends (some of which were not super nice to humans). I love this hike and all the desert friends along the way.
