Diablo the Wrong Way

Heading up was relatively easy…because we went the wrong way (note to go clockwise, not counter-clockwise). Starts in a shaded valley slowly up the sides of hills before going through a couple campgrounds on the way to the summit. Going counter-clockwise meant the downhill on the way back was all steep scrambles. My toes felt as though they might poke through the front of my shoes by the end.
